Alabama Wedding Photoshoot Details with Feathers and Flowers-

The fun of photoshoots is the chance to be wildly creative not only with flowers but all of the details. For this fall shoot at a private southern hunting preserve, feathers, antlers and all things outdoors were the inspiration given to our team of creatives by the talented Heather Durham photography.

I approach my projects by taking color cues from seasonal foliage and flowers. Fall leaves inspired our floral palette of soft peach to coral, and dusty yellows. Soft blues and grays were added to mimic the aged barn wood of the venue and clear blue skies. . Peach stock, Juliette garden roses, and ranunculus are the main players . We added hulk hydrangea and globe thistle (our signature flower) for a touch of blue green and dusty miller for a grayed texture.. .

To achieve these colors in the details, I soaked a green crochet-edge ribbon in blueberry juice to achieve a lovely soft blue green . For the peachy rustic tassel style accent, I braided peach velvet ric rac for a western edge and a punch of color. Floral crowns added a whimsical touch to our gorgeous bridesmaids then served as a in promptu floral collar for our unplanned furry friend model ......... She had to be included! This lovely shoot made the rounds online and in print with Weddings Unveiled, Who What Wear and Birmingham News.
