Clubhouse on Highland- classic southern wedding inspiration in Birmingham,Al photos by heart

This beautiful wedding inspiration was such fun to plan and design.The historic venue setting, lovely paper suite details and wonderful and talented Birmingham based vendor team ensured that we would have a great result. First I have to gush over the Birmingham, Alabama historic venue setting. Clubhouse on Highland is such a lovely setting for any intimate event. We took design cues from the arts and crafts architecture and butterscotch brick exterior. But our favorite feature is the cozy front porch with its fragrant romantic flower bed border overlooking beautiful Highland Avenue. This area of Birmingham is one of my favorites with its lovely historic homes and parks. In keeping with the lush look of the neighborhood we used smilax vine and flowers provided an asymmetrical entry backdrop for our front steps ceremony . Our elegant wedding table on the porch was accompanied by the crest embossed and flower accented cake on the venues vintage iron table - so pretty . Historic venues have my heart and this one is so special. This lovely shoot was such a treat and I hope you enjoy all of the beauty from Photos by Heart.
