We were so excited to be part of this lovely southern editorial planned by our talented photographer friend, Heather Durham. Nashville's Belle Meade Plantation, one of the south's most treasured historic sites, was the perfect setting for our shades of pink springtime florals, a gorgeous Clair Pettibone gown, and vintage china from Empress Stationary, Tea and old Roses. Special thank you to all our vendor friends - Silver Celebrations, The Hair and Makeup Collective, The Dress Theory , Please Be Seated Rentals. and of course Heather Durham Photography. Here is a little sneak peek of all the pretty until we see this featured in a gorgeous southern print publication ...to be revealed spr
Never in my wildest dreams would I have imagined 2017 bringing so many long distance floral adventures - first Washington DC and 3 months later, North to Alaska! I had the great pleasure of meeting Beth Van Sandt and Kurt Weichhand, owners of Scenic Place Peonies in Homer Alaska , while working on the First Ladies Luncheon in Washington in May. After hearing about their July field to vase dinner, I was so excited to have the perfect reason to visit and work as a volunteer on their farm. For three flower filled days I worked alongside Beth and Kurt, their amazing flower farm team, Debra Prinzing (read her American flowers week post here ) and Kelly Shore (fellow chapel designer) in
We were so thrilled to have this editorial featured in Florist Review magazine with a lovely article by Debra Prinzing. It was an honor to represent southern style florals along with so many other talented southern floral designers. We have a rich history and southern style. Still pinching myself and in awe of the images Haley captured.
Callie and Jackon's beautiful wedding took place at Auburn United Methodist Church and Moores Mill Club. We adored working with this mother and bride and bringing to life their traditional , so southern and romantic wedding style. We sourced the perfect hand dyed silk ribbon ( Silk and Willow) to stream from her bouquets and match her mist blue maids.. Long flowing maids dresses and timeless black tuxedoes for the men set the perfect classic an romantic tone for Callie's vision for her traditional southern wedding. Classic bouquets of blush and white garden and spray roses with accents of pink snowberries and silver dollar eucalyptus complemented her soft palette and sweet spirit.
