We are always on the hunt for unique and interesting southern wedding venues to tour, photograph and recommend to our brides. . There is nothing sweeter than an historic house for a wedding venue but add a Georgia southern front porch and the prettiest pink flower palette for a sweeter day.The McGarity House of Temple Ga is a step back in time so this lovely romantic and vintage wedding inspiration was the perfect match for the Victorian farmhouse setting. We were thrilled to add a pretty pastel palette of blooms to this day and the chance to work with this talented team of vendors. A beautiful pastel paper suite set the tone for the day with pastel candles, vintage decor and the cutest bar cart for the cake. We loved seeing the dreamy photos on the Perfect Palette and know it will inspire many 2018 brides wit
We were given the opportunity to work with Birmingham's Heather Durham photography for some fun creative Christmas inspiration. We often decorate homes for Christmas gatherings and love interpreting the house and families personality into our designs . We have collaborated with her for the Birmingham Magazine wedding issue, weddings and three gorgeous wedding photoshoots and jumped at the chance to add our flowers for a holiday feature. The gorgeous Mountain Brook home was a perfect light filled and modern space for our team to decorate with a twist on the usually red and greens . We began by adding whimsical colorful dahlias sourced from Stonehollow Farms in unexpected places ( in the
After binging on Downton Abby and The Crown last fall , a group of Birmingham wedding vendors gathered to create our own Anglo American inspiration at a classic southern setting. Located in the heart of Birmingham's historic Highlands district, Donnelly House with its classic columns and gorgeous stairwell was the perfect choice for our British inspiration . We served up a lovely tete a tete sweetheart table on the venue's stately porch using Tea and Old Roses gorgeous china and beautiful Kate of Auburn's Haint Blue Collective was magically transformed into our Jane, southern style. Her hand lettered invitation, banners and ribbons bringing words from Jane Austens books to the day..
When sweet Sophia called us about her wedding we could tell her wedding day would be so meaningful. We LOVE military weddings and were thrilled to visit Fort Benning to provide her flowers. I fell in love with the primitive historic wooden chapel as the quaint setting for their vows and the stunning officers club that hosted the gorgeous reception. We were amazed at the timeless feeling at Fort Benning and of course the hallowed grounds that we walked that day..so untouched by time and preserved for the men and women who train there. We are so thankful to have been a part of Sophia and Blakes beautiful and holy day so perfectly captured by . Megan Mullins Photography
Ahhh, we love this question because it is the how and why do this wedding thing we love so much. While growing up in small Alabama town, I always loved to gather flowers into loose and natural arrangements and this translated into my wedding designs. Here I am with one of my foraged wild arbors waiting on a rose...um about 20 years ago. When I began my wedding floral planning business in 2010, I searched for florists who had a similar style so I could learn and improve . I discovered the look I love in the classic British "garden style "flower designer Constance Spry . and then located an amazing floral designer named Holly Chapple of Virginia. Holly's "gathered and styled" "flowers i
